I find that when I go to family events that it is hard to please everyone when it comes to food. I love pitching in by bringing desserts but find that it is hard to pick one because everyone likes different things. So I have been saving this recipe for a special day; a cream cheese pound cake. I was pretty sure that it would be a crowd pleaser but I usually like to test things before I present them to the family. I decided to take a risk and make the pound cake without testing it and luckily, it was a success, phew. Just in case, I brought chocolate sauce and whip cream in case it needed something extra, but it didn’t. Everyone liked it and I will be sure to make it again. It had the perfect crusty outside and moist cake on the inside. The blog where I found it http://elizabethsedibleexperience.blogspot.com/2009/03/cake-cravings.html is great and the author compared her behavior with this cake like Miranda and her chocolate cake on Sex and the City. I felt the same way. I just kept going back to this cake and taking a little piece and you will too. Other than the extremely long time it took to bake, it was really easy and worth the wait. All of the compliments weren't too shabby either.
