1 package of Premio Sausage (half spicy & half sweet– 6 links)
1 Jar of Tomato Sauce (I like Barilla)
1 Package of Rigatoni (I like DeCecco)
¼ Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
2 Cloves of Garlic (Peeled and chopped)
2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Parmesan and/or Mozzarella Cheese – As needed
Place water in a large pot and start to boil. When the water comes to a boil add rigatoni and cook al dente according to package instructions. While pasta is cooking, cut up the sausage. Next over medium heat in a large skillet combine extra virgin olive oil and garlic and cook for about a minute or until the oil starts to sizzle. Add sausage to mixture and cook for about 8 minutes, then remove from heat. Then pour tomato sauce into medium pot and cook over medium heat. Add the cooked sausage and red pepper flakes into the sauce, stir and let simmer over low heat for about 10-20 minutes. When pasta is finished cooking; strain. Place one serving of pasta in a dish and pour desired amount of sauce with sausage on top. Sprinkle on parmesan cheese and/or mozzarella. Salute!
